Ed Smith - Head of Studio

Ed brings over a decade of experience in film and TV post-production, underpinned by a background in animation and a deep understanding of both the creative and technical sides of the industry. Since starting his career in 2004, he has built a reputation for operational clarity, steady leadership, and a collaborative approach to complex challenges.

As Head of Studio at Elephant Goldfish, Ed plays a central role in the smooth running of the studio supporting project management, creative, and technical teams while overseeing facilities operations, infrastructure, and day-to-day logistics. He works across departments to improve workflows, optimise resourcing, and ensure that the studio consistently delivers at the highest level.

A natural problem-solver with a calm, solutions-focused approach, Ed is committed to refining internal processes and enhancing the overall client experience. His background also includes seven years lecturing on the BA in Animation Production at CDCFE, helping to nurture Ireland’s next generation of creative talent.
